Say shwmae to…Ethan Carmicheal
What made you want to join the team?
Placemaking and green energy projects made the business stand out to me. I’ve always wanted to work with people whose wider ethos in caring for people and development projects that impact communities align with mine. The team also prioritises the Welsh language, which is very close to my heart as a fluent Welsh speaker since returning from university!
What’s been the biggest surprise since starting?
The diversity of the role! One minute I’m mapping stakeholders for clients, the next I’m off to external events to raise awareness regarding our clients’ green energy projects. It’s all very exciting.
Describe your role in three words.
Fast-paced, diverse and collaborative.
What’s one thing you’re excited to learn or get stuck into?
I’m excited to get a better grasp of the workings of the Senedd as part of our national monitoring, listening in to the Plenary sessions while keeping up to date with Welsh politics and policy.
And most importantly: what’s your go-to lunch spot?
Crumbs! It’s the best vegetarian food in Cardiff, without a doubt! I then walk over to the market for some Welsh cakes for dessert – the best in Wales!
