Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a team player; someone who has a positive attitude, with great writing skills who is media-hungry! You ideally will have at least one years’ experience in PR and/or marketing.

Key responsibilities

Content and writing skills

  • Develop well-written press releases, case studies, features, newsletters and opinion editorial
  • Social media content
  • Demonstrate good proofreading skills
  • Basic graphic design skills beneficial
  • Media relations

  • Media liaison; pitch stories to print, online and broadcast and meeting journalists to build relationships
  • Media and political monitoring – to ensure clients are well informed and potential issues are raised as early as possible
  • General admin; collate coverage reports, update media lists, scan media for feature and commentary opportunities
  • Client relationships

  • Attend client meetings, write agendas and take minutes
  • Produce client-ready reports and campaign evaluations
  • Manage day to day queries
  • Grasshopper Marketing Support

  • Draft and program creative content for our Grasshopper social media channels
  • Analysis of our channels and benchmarking
  • Draft our quarterly Grasshopper e-newsletter and work with in-house designer to produce it
  • Write regular blogs to support our SEO
  • Manage our website content
  • Support agency marketing activities e.g. events, award applications and sponsorship opportunities

  • Salary: from £22k – £30k (depending on experience)
  • Annual bonus (subject to company performance)
