Overview
Grasshopper was appointed to work in collaboration with Transport for Wales and Yr Wyddfa Partnership to develop a strategy to deliver stakeholder and community engagement to shape the SYr Wyddfa and Ogwen Parking and Transport Review. The partners wanted local communities to help plan and deliver improvements to parking, public transport, walking and cycling routes.
What we did
In the midst of the COVID pandemic with lockdown in place, we delivered a hyper-local digital campaign, produced as informative consultation summary documents to explain the project and a series of interactive bilingual community focused virtual workshops. Finally we prepared a consultation report summarising all the feedback from the community to help shape the strategy moving forward.
Outcome
The campaign out-performed anticipated engagement (in terms of number of responses and sign up for events), demonstrating significant reach and engagement within the target local communities. Feedback demonstrated a strong level of support for the principles of the sustainable transport strategy, creating a strong foundation for the project to move forward.
