Overview

Working as part of the Arup multi-disciplinary consultant team, Grasshopper is supporting Natural Resources Wales (NRW) on a number of flood management projects across Wales.  This includes engaging communities around plans for new flood defence proposals, as well as natural flood management plans.

What we did

Work includes providing communications strategy and key messaging, requiring the management of challenging narratives around climate change, coastal adaptation and flood risk.  

As well as providing community information materials and raising local awareness and engagement, the Grasshopper team is responsible for managing community workshops and events as well as supporting landowner and stakeholder engagement activity.

Outcome

Work is currently progressing on a number of projects at different stages of the business case process.
